Pros:

– Real Flame: Whilst it’s not the snap, crackle, and pop of a real fire, it is a real flame and moves like one. Compared to many lower-end electric fires, the real flame of a gas fire can be a huge improvement.
Cons:
– Fuel Cost: Natural gas or propane costs can be higher than wood, depending on your location and market prices.
– No Snap, Crackle, and Pop: Some users may miss the sensory experiences associated with wood fires.

Pros:

– Can Lacks Real Fire Feel: Some may find the simulated flames less satisfying than a real fire, however, we have some incredible fires on display in our showroom with wonderful flame settings
– Dependence on Electricity: Won’t operate during power outages, limiting their reliability as a heat source in ‘off the grid’ locations.
– Limited Heating Capability: This may not provide as much warmth as gas or wood options, particularly in larger spaces.

– Environmental Considerations: While coal burns hotter, it also releases more particles and potentially more emissions than wood, making it less eco-friendly.

Bio-Ethanol Fires
Pros:
– Low Environmental Impact: Bio-ethanol fuels burn with 98% efficiency, creating the same amount of CO2 as burning a candle.

Nothing feels better than a natural flame from burning wood but the gas comes close, even if it can be a little blue.
