Job Description:
As an Experienced Gas Fitter, you will be responsible for the full installation of gas fireplaces in residential and commercial settings. You will work closely with our sales teams to ensure that all installations are completed to the highest standards of safety and craftsmanship and to the customer’s design.
Key Responsibilities:
– Install gas fireplaces of various types, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
– Conduct diagnostic and repair work as needed.
– Communicate effectively with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns during the installation process.
– Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring the safety of yourself, the team, and the client’s property.
Requirements:
– Proven experience fitting gas fireplaces, with familiarity working with studio and cassette-style fires.
– Full GasSafe certification (essential).
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Strong communication skills and customer-focused approach.
– Full clean UK driving license.

Position: Experienced Joiner / Mediawall installer

Location: Tyne and Wear & Surrounding Areas
Time: Available for immediate start
Due to further expansion, we are looking to invite a full-time installer to our ever-growing team. Washington Fireplaces specialises in the fabrication and installation of mediawalls & fireplaces.
Your main role will be the survey and installation of mediawalls of all kinds. This could be in a customer’s home, a commercial environment such as studios, bars or restaurants, or in our showroom.
A joinery or building trade background would be beneficial, and the candidate should be confident communicating with both trade professionals and private customers. Although additional training will be given, the ideal candidate will have prior experience of the following:
– Using precise measuring tools
– Using hand tools such as saws, drills and routers etc
– Experience working in kitchen fitting / joinery or similar building work
– A full, clean, UK driving licence is required
Furthermore, the ideal candidate will be organised, with good interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and the desire to produce work to a consistently high standard.
The role can be physically demanding, the ideal candidate will be competent in safe manual handling. The relevant safety certifications are beneficial.
